Munich at its best.

If you do not just want to visit not only sights but want to live Munich like its inhabitants, you must come in summer. The city blooms with its green areas, cafés and gardens in the summertime. People pour into the streets and life moves outside. Yet Munich never loses the charm that is so special to this city, this relaxed feeling that has earned it the name "Italy's northernmost city". All restaurants and cafes put their tables on the street and give the cityscape a great holiday atmosphere.

As highlights we can recommend: a 3 hour bike tour through Munich, a tour with the Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus  or a visit to the Allianz-Arena, the home of the FC. Bayern Munich. If you want to be more comfortale, join the Segway Tour. Also fun: a guided tour to the most famious beer halls and breweries in Munich.

The best shopping streets of Munich!

Beautiful evenings can be enjoyed in...

... not only the Glockenbachviertel, Schwabing, the Altstadt, but also in Giesing, Neuhausen, Haidhausen and Nymphenburg.  The districts are waiting with beautiful corners and cozy restaurants. The mood in the beer gardens is loud and happy and some people like to quench their thirst.

Going out in the evening, strolling, eating and drinking

Evening walks are recommended around the Feilitzschplatz in Schwabing (U3 / U6), around the Gärtnerplatz (bus 62/52) in the Glockenbachviertel or around the Wiener Platz (U5 / S-Bahn) in Haidhausen. Cafés and restaurants line up and offer space for every visitor.

Naturally impressive ...

... is the Max-Joseph-Platz (U3 / U6 / U4 / U5) at the opera, which is beautifully lit at events, especially at night. From here you can walk the streets of the old town. Exceptionally beautiful also is the Maximilansstraße (U3 / U6 / U4 / U5), which is also the most expensive street in the city. It is not uncommon to meet soccer players of FC Bayern or other familiar faces from politics and arts.
A great cafe is the old-fashioned Tambosi (U3 / U5 / U6 / U4) at the Hofgarten, which offers a magnificent view of the Odeonsplatz with the Feldherrnhalle, Residenz and Theatinerkirche. When the sun is shining this visit is a must! Blankets are laid out in the fall, you can enjoy the view even in the colder temperatures.

For the youth

A visit to the Isar is essential. At the Reichenbachbrücke (U1 / U2) warm summer night parties are celebrated here and loud music played. Likewise, the Eisbach in the English Garden (U3 / U6 / U5 / U4) must be on the list, too. Every evening the youth lives out and celebrates at the Field by the Monopterus. A popular meeting place for the youth is - to the chagrin of the residents - the Gärtnerplatz, which often has to be shut down by the police at night because people talk, laugh and party late into the night.
Marienplatz / Kaufingerstraße is the shopping paradise of Munich, but the flair of the city is not to be found there, but in the individual districts.

PS: Of course Munich is beautiful even in the winter. Life simply moves into the interiors of restaurants and cafes. Wonderful Christmas markets characterize the cityscape, such as the classic Christmas market on the Marienplatz, the alternative "Toolwood" on the Theresienwiese with art, culture and crafts, the artists' market in Schwabing and several other small Christmas markets in all districts. The mood is perfect with snow.
